The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the production of instant noodles.

Overall, the process involves eight mechanical steps commenced at stored floor in silo is mixed with oil and water and culminated at labelling and sealing of the product.

Initially, floor that is brought from the stored silo is mixed with water and oil to make a dough. Secondly, dough is rolled through the rollers into dough sheets in the third step which are converted to dough strips by using a stripped machine. In the fourth step, the dough strips are converted into circular noodles discs.

Subsequently, the noodle discs are cooked in oil for a while followed by drying of these discs to pack them. In the next step, they are packed in airtight cups with added vegetable and spices to make the taste of instant noodles. Finally, the manufacturing end at cups being labelled plus sealed and are ready for sale.
