The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The diagram presents the manufacturing process of instant noodles.

Overall, the process consists of 8 steps, starting with the storage of flour inside silos and ending with labelling and sealing. Processing includes usage of components such as water, cooking oil and even vegetables and spices.

The manufacturing of noodles starts by having the flour stored in storage silos. Afterwards a mixer that uses water and oil has the product converted to dough sheets by using rollers. The dough sheets are made into strips which then are transformed into noodles discs.

At step 6, the cooking process begins as cooking oil is used for the aforementioned noodle discs.They are submerged in cooking oil, which is followed by drying of the cooked noodles.Then after this step, the cooked noodles are put into cups.The cups will have vegetables and spices additionally added in. At the last step labelling and sealing is done for finishing the process.
