The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The above diagram illustrates the 8 steps by which instant noodles are supplied to the market.

The whole process starts with the flour from the storage silos, mixing and passing through the rollers, straight into packaging and labelling.

Initially, a truck transports the flour from the storage silos to the factory, equipped with the machines required to manufacture instant noodles. Then the flour is transferred to the mixer, where water and oil are added into the mix. After that rollers are used to make the mix into dough sheets which are then processed into long dough strips. Now, the long dough strips are converted into noodles discs which we see in our package but these are raw, so they are passed through a cooking process in oil. After which they are dried for final packaging. In second last process, the cooked discs are Added into the cups alongside vegetables and spices after which they are labeled and sealed for the final output.
