The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram depicts the process of manufacturing instant noodles, outlining the key stages starting from flour storage to the final packaging stage.

Overall, the process consists of distinct stages and follows a man-made pattern, whereby flour undergo a series of structured transformations before packaged as instant noodles.

In terms of the process of making instant noodles, initially, flour is taken from storage silos and transferred into a mixer where water and oil is added. Upon completion, the dough is passed through the rollers. This subsequently followed by channelling the rolled sheet of the dough into a cutter, at which point strips of the dough is obtained, before progressing further.

As is evident from the diagram, once the earlier stages are completed. Dough strips are conveted into noodle discs which are passed through cooking oil and then dried out noodles are ready for packaging alongside vegetables and spices. The ingredients are put into the cups with cooked noodles discs. Ultimately the process concludes with putting lables and sealing the cup noodles, whereby instant noodles are successfully produced.
