The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pictogram below displays the step by step process of manufacturing instant noodles.

In a cursory glance of the picture it is evident that there are a total of 8 stages, ranging form the intial stage of storing the flour in designated silos to the final stage of labelling and sealing the packages.

The entire process begins with storing the flour in assorted silos for a certain time period, afterwards the flour along with water and oil is kneeded in a specific mixer which then rolls the batter into dough sheets. Additionally, the dough sheets are cut up in strips over the conveyer belt, these strips are then ultimately rolled up into noodle discs, which are then primarily cooked in oil and are eventually dried out.

The next stage involves placing the noodle discs with the inculsion of vergetables and spices, into the perfectly arranged cups. Finally the cups are labelled and sealed using the adequate equipment to ensure compliance with the standards.
