The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The diagram illustrates how instant noodles are manufactured in a company. Overall, the process consists of eight main stages, beginning with the storage of flour in large silos and ending with the packaging and shipment of the finished products to stores.

Initially, flour is stored in large storage silos before being transported to a mixer. At this stage, water and oil are added to the flour, and the mixture is thoroughly combined to form dough. The dough is then passed through a series of rollers, which flatten it into sheets. These sheets are subsequently cut into thin strips.

In the next stage, the strips are shaped into individual noodle discs using a specialized machine. The noodle discs are then cooked in oil and subsequently dried. After this, the dried noodle discs are placed into cups, where vegetables and spices are added.

Finally, the cups are packaged and labeled with the brand name. They are then sealed securely and prepared for shipment to stores and markets.
