Overall, it is quite evident from the mentioned diagram that there are around eight well defined stages commencing with adding flour in a storage silos and ending with labbelling and sealing the final end product.
Instant noodles manufacturing process begin with adding flour in a two big storage silos. Afterward, water and oil was mixed with this flour through a big mixer. Next, this mixed material was doughing into a dough sheets with the help of multiple rollers. After that, the doughted sheets was converted into several dough strips by passing throuhg two minor machines. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response successfully covers all main stages of the diagram from the initial flour storage silos to the final labelling and sealing phase, satisfying the core requirements of Task Achievement. An overview is present, noting the total number of stages and the start-to-finish nature of the manufacturing process. However, the development is somewhat hindered by inaccuracies in reading the diagram's visual labels, such as misinterpreting 'noodles discs' as 'circular shaps' and struggling with precise terminology. While the key features are reported, the lack of precision and awkward phrasing prevent the response from achieving a higher band. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, placing it firmly in the mid-range band.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to follow a chronological sequence using standard transitional markers such as 'Afterward', 'Next', and 'In the subsequent step'. Paragraphing is utilised to separate the introduction, the overview, and the body of the process description. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and repetitive, and referencing is occasionally faulty, such as 'these circular shaps noodles' and 'these cooked noodles'. Paragraph division could be handled more logically, as the body paragraphs run together various steps rather than cleanly breaking down the distinct phases of production. Logical progression is present, but the organizational control is basic.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but contains numerous spelling and word-choice errors that impede natural expression. Examples of errors include 'diragram' instead of diagram, 'delineate' used with incorrect grammar, 'labbelling', 'doughted', 'throuhg', 'shaps', and 'puting out lables'. The student attempts less common lexical items related to manufacturing processes, such as 'storage silos', 'conveyor', and 'sealed', but their control over word formation and spelling is weak. Although the communication of the process is generally understood, the frequent lexical inaccuracies restrict the score to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures like passive voice ('water and oil was mixed', 'the strips was converted'). However, grammatical accuracy is low due to pervasive errors in subject-verb agreement and tense consistency, such as 'the process begin', 'water and oil was mixed', 'material was doughing', and 'the instant noodles was ready'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing full stops at the end of paragraphs. These frequent errors in basic and intermediate grammar structures cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from reaching a higher band level.
