The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the diagram manufacturing process of instant noodles is displayed step by step, explaining how flour is converted to the end product.

Firstly, the raw material i.e. flour is stored in storage silos. This flour is carried to the mixer by means of heavy tranportation vehicles. Here water and oil is added to the flour that results in formation of dough sheets that are moved with help of rollers. Futher, this dough is converted into strips that move on the conveyor and are turned into noodles discs. These discs pass from the cooking oil and then are dried and poured in the cups, where vegetables and spices are added to these nodles in the cups. Moving onwards the cups are labled and sealed turning into the end product. Now the noodles are ready to hit the market.
