The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The process of manufacturing of instant noodles is depicted by the given diagram. Overall, the process consists of eight stages, commencing with storing flour in storage silos and culminating with the labeling and sealing of packed noodles.In the initial stages, flour is stored in storage silos before being transferred to a mixer where it is combined with water and oil. The mixture is then rolled into dough sheets by using rollers. Once the dough sheets are formed, they are cut into dough strips using specialized machinery. After the conversion of dough into dough strips, the noodles are shaped into noodle discs.In the subsequent stages, the prepared noodle discs are cooked using oil and then fried and dried. Once the cooked noodles are dried, they are placed into cups, and vegetables and spices are added to the mixture. In the final stages, the cups filled with noodles are labeled and sealed before being dispatched to the market for sale.
