The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The schematic diagram elucidate the stages of the production of instant noodles.
Overall, there are 8 steps of manufacturing instant noodles which begins with a truck full of flour stored in a silo and ends at labelling and sealing the noodles. The whole process is capital intensive.
The process starts when flour that is stored in silos are mixed together with water and oil which results in a dough being made that is then gone through dough sheets that are rollers. Thereafter, the batter is shaped like strips at the 4th step.
At step 5, noodles are converted into a disc like shape which is cooked with oil and dried after that. Furthermore, the noodles are put into cups, with all the vegetables and spices in it. At the end, the cups are labelled and sealed, ready to go to the markets and shops for sale, and this process commences again.
