The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram below displays how instant noodles are prepared in a manufacturing unit and shows several steps through which they are manufactured.

Overall, instant noodles are prepared through 8 major steps in which, most of the process is automatic and occurs through machines but few steps are performed manually by workers.

Firstly, the flour that is stored in storage silos is transported to the manufacturing unit by the truck. Then water and oil are added to it before putting it into a mixer. The rollers help to prepare dough sheets which pass to another machine that makes dough strips. In the next step, noodles discs are made before cooking them in oil and drying.

The product is added into cups where vegetables and spices are added to it to make ot tasty. After passing through another machine these cups are sealed and labelling process also occurs in this step. At the end they move on the roller and the labels are attached to them and finally by this whole process instant noodles are manufactured.
