The diagram below shows how instant noodles are manufactured.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing instant noodles. The process involves 8 steps which starts from storing and ends on labeling the insant noodles.

The first and foremost setp in the manufacturing of instant noodles are storage silos where all of the flour is stored. The second step involves mixer where water and oil are mixed with the flour which was previoulsy stored in the storage silos. When the mixture is ready it is then passed through rollers which transforms it into dough sheets. The dough sheets are further converted into dough strips which is the actual shape of instant noodles. Furthermore the strips are being shaped into noodles discs.

When the noodle discs are ready they are cooked in oil and then dried to make them edible and then transferred into cups. Then flavouring takes place where vegetables and spices are being added into the cups. Lastly labeling and sealing takes place and they are finally packaged as a instant cup noodles.
