Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the process as a sequence beginning with flour storage and ending with labelling and sealing, and you include several central stages, such as mixing flour with water and oil, forming dough sheets and strips, and cooking and drying the noodles. This gives the reader a relevant account of the diagram. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: the noodles are not transformed into cups; rather, cups are added around the cooked noodle portions, followed by vegetables and spices. The response also says the products are delivered to consumers or workshops, which is not shown. The overview could more clearly summarise the full progression from flour to finished cups, while the later packaging stages need more precise description.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has an overall sequence and is divided into an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. Connectors such as “To begin with,” “Following this,” and “Moreover” help signal progression. However, some links are mechanical or do not express the relationship clearly: “On the other hand” suggests a contrast where the process simply continues, and “On account of” does not connect the stages logically. Several sentences combine multiple steps without clear boundaries, making the sequence harder to follow. Improve cohesion by grouping the preparation and shaping stages together, then describing cooking and packaging in order, using direct transitions such as “Next” and “After cooking.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “Rollers,” “Dough sheets,” “Noodles discs,” and “Labelling and sealing,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range and control are limited, with repeated or imprecise wording such as “steps,” “small,” and “transform.” Some choices make the meaning difficult to interpret: “small cups with equal divided” and “the last past” do not clearly describe the diagram. There are also spelling errors, including “manufacutring,” “Furthremore,” and “woorkshops.” Aim for precise process verbs and natural collocations, for example “are shaped into,” “are cooked in oil,” and “are placed in cups.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response uses passive forms that suit a process description, such as “passed through the Rollers” and “added some Vegetable and spices.” However, control is inconsistent. The opening overview has a missing verb pattern in “consists several eight stages,” while “which storage silos” lacks a clear grammatical connection. There are also problems with verb forms and agreement, as in “the truck with loaded the Flour and deliver” and “all the Flour mix.” Some long sentences join stages without a clear grammatical structure, particularly the sentence beginning “On account of.” Use a consistent present simple passive, such as “The flour is mixed with water and oil,” and check articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
