Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover the main stages from flour storage through mixing, shaping, cooking and drying, and packaging, and your overview identifies the process as having eight steps. The account is generally relevant, but some details are inaccurate or unclear: the diagram shows vegetables and spices being added to the cups, not “noodle’s powder,” and it does not show the finished cups being shipped. You also describe the dough as being converted into sheets, strips and discs, but the sequence and the role of the rollers could be reported more precisely. To strengthen the response, give a concise overview of the linear process and accurately distinguish the addition of ingredients from the final labelling and sealing stage.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an opening, an overview and a further paragraph describing the process, so there is some paragraph-level organisation. However, the progression is weakened because the second body paragraph repeats much of the first, including the flour, mixing, shaping and cooking stages, rather than adding a clearly organised continuation. Several stages are joined in long strings with repeated “then” and “and,” making relationships between steps less clear. The overview also moves abruptly from the process summary to cup contents and packaging. Organise the details once in the diagram’s sequence, using separate sentences or grouped stages, and use clear references such as “the resulting dough” and “these discs” to avoid repetition.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “mixer,” “dough sheets,” “strips,” “noodle discs,” and “labelling and sealing,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is repetitive, especially with repeated uses of “dough,” “cup,” and “then,” and some word choices or forms are inaccurate: “the noodle’s powder” does not match the diagram’s vegetables and spices, while “were ready to be shipped” adds an unsupported detail. More precise process verbs would also improve the description. Aim to vary verbs such as “form,” “pass,” and “add,” while retaining the diagram’s exact labels and avoiding invented contents or outcomes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, and the overall sequence can usually be understood. However, some sentences are run-ons or lack clear clause boundaries, particularly “The storage silos from where the flour is sent to the mixer in that mixer…”. There are also recurring errors in agreement and verb forms, such as “water and oil is mix,” “that strips is turn,” and “the noodles discs is been placed.” Articles and plurals are inconsistent as well, for example “a noodle discs.” Use a reliable pattern for each stage—“The flour is mixed with water and oil,” followed by “The dough is rolled into sheets”—and check subject–verb agreement, passive forms and sentence punctuation.
