Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the process as having eight steps and cover its broad progression from flour preparation through cooking to packaging. This gives the reader a relevant account of the main stages. However, some important details are incomplete or inaccurate: the flour is delivered to storage silos, rather than simply transported to the factory, and the noodles are cooked in oil and dried, not described as cooked by heat. The overview also says the flour is cooked, which blurs the distinction between mixing the dough and cooking the noodle discs. To strengthen the response, report the sequence more precisely, including the rollers forming sheets and strips, and the addition of vegetables and spices as the noodles enter cups before labelling and sealing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs describing the stages in sequence. Transitions such as “The process begins,” “Furthermore,” and “At last” help signal progression, so the reader can follow the general process. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “To continue with the next step” and “The process is continue” repeat the idea of progression, while “then, package the food” does not clearly connect the cup-filling stage to labelling and sealing. Punctuation and spacing also interrupt flow. Use fewer, more precise transitions and connect each stage explicitly to the next, while keeping the chronological organisation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “dough,” “sheets,” “strips,” “noodle discs,” “vegetables and spices,” and “labelling and sealing.” These terms show an adequate range for describing the diagram. However, several choices are imprecise or repetitive: “map” is not the right term for a manufacturing diagram, “cook them” has an unclear reference, and “transport” is repeated where more specific process verbs would help. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “instand,” “appliying,” and “Afterthat.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and use verbs such as “feed,” “roll,” “form,” and “package” to describe the stages precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the sequence is generally understandable. However, errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction, which sometimes make the process difficult to follow. Examples include “The major steps is,” “the flour transport,” “the roller roll,” and “The process is continue.” The sentence “Furthermore, after completing the cooking steps, add some vegetables and spices” also lacks a clear subject, and “The discs is cooked” has incorrect agreement. Practise forming passive sentences for process descriptions, such as “the flour is transported” and “the discs are cooked,” and check that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
