Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main stages, from flour storage through mixing, shaping, cooking and drying, to adding vegetables and spices and packaging. This gives the reader a generally relevant account of the process. However, the overview is unclear and does not effectively summarise the process as a whole; the repeated conclusion that the noodles are “ready” or “manufactured” adds little. Some details are also incomplete or imprecise: the cups are not clearly described as being filled before labelling and sealing, and the final product emerging on a conveyor is omitted. To strengthen the response, give a concise overview of the linear process and report each key transition accurately, including the finished cups.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response follows the broad order of production, and phrases such as “First of all” and “After this process” help signal sequence. However, progression is weakened by repetitive transitions and by the final paragraph repeating the stages already described rather than adding a useful summary. The opening and overview are also difficult to follow, particularly “Overall it is clear that how to manufacturing instant noodles.” Paragraphing is present, but the information is not grouped into a clear introduction, overview and logically developed process description. Organise the stages into a continuous sequence, use a small range of accurate linking expressions, and avoid repeating the same stages in the conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “dough sheets,” “dough strips,” “cooking oil,” and “vegetables and spices,” so the reader can recognise several stages. However, the range is limited and some word choices or forms make the description unclear, such as “instant of noodles,” “take out a rollers,” and “label the sealings.” The repeated use of “process,” “noodles,” and “ready” also makes the account less precise. Aim to use accurate manufacturing verbs and collocations, such as “are fed into,” “are rolled into,” “are dried,” and “are sealed,” and check spelling of key terms such as “noodles.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to connect stages in longer sentences, for example with “and then” and “after this process,” but sentence structures are limited and errors occur frequently. Several clauses lack a clear grammatical form: “flour put in the storage silos,” “how to manufacturing,” and “then take a dry” do not express the intended actions accurately. There are also problems with articles, verb forms and agreement, as in “noodles is ready.” These errors sometimes make relationships between stages difficult to understand. Practise forming consistent passive sentences for a process, such as “The flour is stored” and “The dough is rolled into strips,” and check each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
