Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram process shows how instant noodles are manufactured.
Overall, there are eight stages to manufacture instant noodles. It starts with storing silos in the container and ends with lables( labelling + sealing). Silos is required to produce instant noodles and in the mixer water and oil are added.
Firstly, the truck brings the flour and store in the large silos storage. After storing flour it is trasmitted to mixer which helps to mix water and oil that makes the flour soft and bulky. Rollers is used to rotate the dough sheets and gives shape to the mixed flour. There are two dough sheets operated to roll the mixer upto noodles discs. Then noodles discs makes the shape it is send for cooking(oil) and drying the noodles for final process.
Finally, vegetables and spices are added in the cups. And it is send for labelling and sealing which is transportted to the market.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the process as having eight stages and give a basic start-to-finish account, including flour storage, mixing, shaping, cooking and the final addition of vegetables and spices. This covers the main subject, but some stages are reported less fully or inaccurately. For example, the overview says the process ends with “lables (labelling + sealing),” although finished cups emerge after that stage; the overview should describe the complete sequence. The account also omits the formation of dough strips and the addition of noodles to cups, and “two dough sheets” is not supported by the diagram. To strengthen the response, report each key transformation in order and make the overview accurately identify the first and final stages.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction and overview are followed by stages introduced with “Firstly” and “Finally.” The sequence is generally understandable, and the reader can follow the movement from flour storage towards packaging. However, progression becomes unclear in places, particularly in “There are two dough sheets operated to roll the mixer upto noodles discs,” where the relationship between the stages is difficult to follow. The sentence beginning “And it is send” also leaves the reference unclear. Use separate, clearly ordered sentences for the dough-sheet, strip and disc stages, and connect them with precise sequencing language. This would make the organisation more consistently clear and reduce the mechanical feel of the transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “mixer,” “rollers,” “dough sheets,” “cooking” and “labelling and sealing,” so the topic is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making the process harder to understand. For instance, “storing silos in the container” reverses the relationship between the flour and the silos, while “bulky” is not a natural description of the dough. There are also spelling errors such as “lables,” “trasmitted” and “transportted.” Aim for precise process verbs and standard spelling, and avoid repeating general words such as “makes” and “send.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer clauses, including “After storing flour it is trasmitted to mixer which helps to mix water and oil.” This shows some effort to describe linked stages, but control is inconsistent, and several sentence patterns contain errors. Examples include “the truck brings the flour and store,” “Rollers is used,” and “it is send,” which show problems with verb forms and subject–verb agreement. The sentence about “two dough sheets” is also difficult to parse because its structure is incomplete or unclear. Practise passive forms suited to process descriptions, such as “the flour is transferred” and “the noodles are cooked,” and check agreement and sentence boundaries when editing.
