Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the diagram as a manufacturing process and give a broad overview, noting that flour is processed into noodles and then packed. The main sequence is mostly represented: mixing, forming dough, cooking and drying, adding vegetables and spices, and labelling and sealing. However, some important stages are compressed or unclear. For example, the response does not clearly distinguish the dough being formed into sheets, cut into strips, and shaped into discs, and it omits the rollers and the addition of noodles to cups. The overview also says flour is added “in mixture form,” which does not accurately describe the initial mixing stage. To strengthen the report, describe the stages more precisely and make the overview capture the full progression from flour storage to finished cups.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs describing the earlier and later stages. Sequencing words such as “Initially,” “Later,” and “Finally” help the reader follow the process. However, some connections are mechanical or awkward, particularly “Followed by, it reaches the labelling section,” and the reference of “it” is not clear. The final paragraph also combines several actions in a long sentence, making the order of adding ingredients, labelling, and sealing harder to follow. Use direct links such as “After the noodles are placed in cups…” and give each stage a clear subject. This would make the progression smoother while retaining the effective basic organisation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant process vocabulary, including “raw material,” “stored,” “transformed,” “dipped,” and “sealed,” which helps communicate the main stages. There is also some attempt to vary wording, as in “production” and “processing.” However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “slios,” “conveyar,” and “labled” are misspelled, while “stripped” is not the natural verb for dough being cut into strips. “Segregated in cups” is also an inaccurate collocation for placing noodles into cups, and “important spices” is vague. Choose precise process verbs and check spelling; for example, use “cut into strips,” “placed in cups,” and “seasonings” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which are dipped in to cooking oil and dried” and a sequence of passive constructions. The stages remain generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and control. The opening has a duplicated article (“The the diagram”), and “each and every stages” has a number-agreement error. The sentence “The flour as a raw material is added in mixture form, it is turned…” joins two independent clauses with only a comma. There are also problems with verb forms and sentence construction in “the instant noodle as a product is manufacture.” Use complete, clearly separated clauses and check agreement and passive forms, such as “the finished noodles are manufactured.”
