Overall, Instant noodles are manufactured in eight stages. It begins with adding flour into storage silos and ends with placing lables and sealing cups.

In 1st stage, flour is added to storage silos through flour trucks. In 2nd stage, they add flour, water and oil in mixer that mix them very easily. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify the process as having eight stages and give a relevant start and end point: flour enters the silos, and cups are labelled and sealed. However, the response stops during the description of stage four, so most of the process is not reported. In particular, it omits the formation of noodle discs, cooking and drying, the addition of vegetables and spices, and the finished cups. Some details are also inaccurate or unclear: the mixer receives flour, water and oil, but the rollers shape the dough rather than roll the mixture “over” dough sheets. The response is only 96 words, below the required 150. To address the task more fully, describe the remaining stages and include a concise overview of the complete sequence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic organisational framework: an introduction, an overview, and a paragraph beginning to describe the stages in sequence. Numbering the stages helps the reader follow the early part of the process. However, the account ends abruptly at “dough,” so there is no progression through the later stages or concluding description of the finished product. Some links between ideas are repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “In 1st stage,” “In 2nd stage,” and so on. The reference “they” in “they add flour” is also unclear because no people have been introduced. Develop the sequence to its end, group related stages into paragraphs, and use varied, precise links such as “Next” and “After drying.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses some relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “mixer,” “rollers,” and “sealing,” so the reader can recognise the general subject. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or awkward, such as “flour trucks” for the truck delivering flour and “this mixture of these three things.” The spelling errors “procces” and “lables” are noticeable, while “mix them very easily” does not describe a manufacturing stage precisely. Use specific terms from the diagram, such as “dough sheets,” “strips,” “noodle discs,” and “cooking and drying,” and choose concise process verbs such as “is transferred,” “is shaped,” and “is packaged.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, and the overview sentence “It begins with adding flour into storage silos and ends with placing labels and sealing cups” communicates the broad sequence. However, the range remains limited, and errors recur in sentence construction and agreement. For example, “that mix them” should use a verb agreeing with “mixer” (“which mixes them”), while “rollers rolls” has a plural subject with a singular verb. The phrase “In 2nd stage” also needs an article, and “this mixture flow” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. Practise accurate passive forms for process descriptions, such as “the flour is added” and “the dough is shaped,” and check articles, verb agreement, and sentence completion.
