Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify the process as having eight stages and give a clear overall direction, from flour storage to the final labelling and sealing. Most key stages are included, including mixing, forming sheets and strips, cooking, drying, and adding vegetables and spices. This covers the main features, but some details are unclear or inaccurate: the cups are introduced when the noodles, vegetables and spices are combined, rather than simply after drying, and the flour is delivered to the silos by truck. The description of the shaping stages is also compressed, making the sequence harder to follow. To strengthen the response further, report each transition precisely and make the overview capture the full production line, including the final packaged cups.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable progression, using “To begin with,” “Later,” “Moreover,” and “In the last stage” to guide the reader through the process. The opening overview also helps establish the sequence. However, the linking is somewhat mechanical, and some connections between stages are unclear. For example, “the dough mixer is passed through rollers” makes the relationship between the mixer, rollers and dough sheets difficult to follow, while “As well as” does not clearly connect cooking with drying. The paragraphing is limited, with the overview and process description not clearly separated. Grouping the stages into a short introduction/overview and a logically organised process paragraph, while using more precise references such as “these strips” or “the resulting discs,” would improve flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “rollers,” “dough sheets,” “noodles discs,” and “labelling and sealing,” so the reader can identify most stages. There are also attempts at more formal process language, such as “illustrates” and “Additionally.” However, the range is limited and several choices or forms are inaccurate or unnatural: “manufractured” is misspelled, “stripping of dough” is not a natural description of forming strips, and “passed through the cooking oil” is imprecise for the cooking stage. Repetition of “stage,” “cups,” and “process” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate verbs such as “is shaped,” “is cut into strips,” and “is cooked in oil,” and check spelling and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the sequence is generally understandable. However, control is inconsistent, with several faulty constructions that make relationships between actions unclear. For example, “the process is including total eight stages which is starts” has problems with verb form and clause structure; “the storage silos which are filled with flour by the truck” is a fragment; and “the dough mixer is passed through rollers and form the dough sheets” has errors in subject, agreement and verb form. The response also shifts between passive and active constructions without consistent control. Practise complete passive sentences for process descriptions, such as “The flour is transferred to the mixer, where water and oil are added,” and check agreement and tense in each clause.
