Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the diagram as a manufacturing process and give a broad overview that it has eight parts, then describe the main sequence from flour storage and mixing through to packaging. This addresses the central task, and most stages are recognisable. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: the noodles are not described as being formed into discs clearly, and the final claim that the process is “short” and requires “less hard working” is not shown by the diagram. The overview also focuses on the number of stages and machines rather than summarising the key transformation from flour to finished cups. To strengthen the response, report each stage precisely and avoid conclusions that the visual does not support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs that follow the production sequence. Sequencing phrases such as “The first step,” “after mixing,” and “last part” help the reader follow the process. However, progression is weakened by long, loosely connected sentences, especially the paragraph beginning “The first step of noodles making,” where several stages run together. Some links are repetitive or unclear, and the final comment about the process being short and requiring less work feels disconnected from the description. Use one clear sentence for each group of stages, and connect them with precise transitions such as “Next,” “Following this,” and “Finally.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “mixing,” “roller,” “dough sheet,” “dough strip,” “vegetables and spices,” and “labelling and sealing.” This gives the reader a basic sense of the manufacturing stages. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the description difficult to interpret, such as “immediate noodles,” “storige,” “thik strait line,” and “lass time resume.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “the flour water, oil” and “ready for selling in the markets.” Aim for accurate process terms and natural collocations, and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general wording with precise verbs such as “is transferred,” “is shaped,” and “is packaged” would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to describe a sequence using both simple statements and linked clauses, but sentence structures are often incomplete or inaccurately formed. For example, “the flour store in” lacks a clear passive construction, while “after mixing send the mixture on roller” has no stated subject and an incorrect verb form. Agreement and tense are also inconsistent in “This graph show” and “the process are run.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries create further difficulty, particularly where several stages are joined in one long sentence. Use the present simple passive consistently for this process—for example, “The flour is stored in silos” and “Water and oil are added”—and separate each stage into a complete sentence.
