Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The diagram indicates the processing of ready noodles, where are eight mejor parts including storage silos, mixer, dough sheets, dough strips, noodles discs, cooking (oil) drying, vegetables sprices and labelling sealing.

Figer is strating from storage silos that is connected with a flour, then it send to mixer. On the other hand water and oil are also pust in mixer, and it passes through rollers and visits dough strips. When it reaches in noodles disces, it starts cooking (oil) drying and a set of cups entered with vegetables sprices. Finally, the main important task is labelling and sealing the cups, and sealed cups exit from the machine.

The diagram makes visualize the steps of preparing noodles, where are several steps starting from storage silos and ending by labelling and sealing, meanwhile there are water & oil mixer use rollers, dough sheets and dough strips and it created several noodles discs. After cokking and drying and adding vegetables spices, it use a set of cups and after preparing it should labelling and sealing.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the process as noodle production and mention several relevant stages, including flour storage, mixing, cooking and drying, and final sealing. However, the account only partially reports the diagram: it omits the important sequence from dough sheets to strips and then noodle discs, and it does not clearly explain that the discs are formed before cooking. Some details are unclear or inaccurate, such as saying cups enter with the vegetables and spices without explaining that these are added to the cooked noodles. The overview repeats that the process starts and ends at particular stages but does not summarise the main transformation or the overall linear sequence. A clearer, more complete account of the stages would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has some organisation: it begins with an introduction, then describes stages, and uses signals such as “Finally” to indicate an ending. However, the progression is not consistently clear, and the three paragraphs partly repeat the same information rather than developing the process in order. For example, the final paragraph restates the start and end points and repeats the use of rollers, dough strips and cups. Connections between stages are sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in “it passes through rollers and visits dough strips.” Use one paragraph for a concise overview and another to describe the stages sequentially, with clear references to what each machine or product does.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “mixer,” “rollers,” “dough strips,” and “labelling and sealing,” which helps identify the process. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “mejor,” “Figer,” “sprices,” and “disces.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, including “visits dough strips” and “the main important task.” Aim for accurate process verbs and collocations, such as “is transferred,” “is rolled into,” and “is packaged.” Check spelling carefully, especially for key labels from the diagram, and avoid repeating general words such as “steps” and “preparing.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences using words such as “where,” “then,” and “when,” but these structures are often faulty, and sentence control is limited. For example, “where are eight mejor parts” has an incorrect clause structure, while “storage silos that is connected” has subject–verb disagreement. In “it send to mixer,” the verb form and article are missing, and “it should labelling and sealing” uses an incorrect verb pattern. These errors sometimes make the sequence hard to interpret. Practise accurate passive forms for process descriptions, such as “the flour is sent to the mixer,” and check agreement, articles, and verb forms. Shorter, correctly formed sentences would improve clarity before you add more complex structures.
