Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the process as having eight steps and cover its broad direction, from flour storage through mixing and shaping to cooking and packaging. This gives the reader a basic account of the diagram. However, the overview is very brief and does not clearly summarise the main transformation from flour into finished cups. Several stages are unclear or inaccurately described: the flour is delivered to the silos rather than added to a “storge silos machine,” and the diagram shows vegetables and spices being added as the noodles enter cups, not that they are passed separately. The final stage is labelling and sealing; the claim that the cups are packed into a “proper shape” is not shown. Report each stage more precisely and include a clear overview of the process’s start and end points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response follows the diagram’s general sequence, and expressions such as “First of all,” “The next,” and “The last step” help signal movement through the process. This provides some organisation. However, the account is presented as one continuous paragraph, and the repeated, sometimes inaccurate transitions make the progression difficult to follow. Several stages are run together—for example, the description of dough sheets, dough strips and noodle discs—while “Overall; The diagram are the eight basic steps” is not clearly separated as an overview. Use distinct overview and detail paragraphs, and connect each stage with concise, consistent sequencing language. Clearer sentence boundaries would also help readers see where one production step ends and the next begins.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “mixer,” “roller,” “dough sheets,” “noodles discs,” “cooking and drying,” and “labelling sealing.” These terms show an attempt to describe the diagram rather than relying entirely on general language. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the process hard to understand, such as “storge,” “transfor,” “diccs,” and “roots.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “the mixer pass through the roller” and “pack the proper shape of label sticker” do not clearly express the actions shown. Build a more accurate set of process verbs and collocations, such as “is transferred,” “is rolled into,” “is cut into strips,” and “is sealed.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The response attempts to describe a sequence using both simple clauses and longer sentences, but grammatical control is very limited, and errors frequently obscure the relationships between stages. For example, “the first step start the flour is add” combines incompatible structures, while “the mixer pass through the roller and going dough sheets” has problems with subject, verb form and clause construction. Agreement and passive forms are also unreliable in “the diagram are” and “the noodles are cooking and drying.” Punctuation is inconsistent, with missing spaces after full stops and a semicolon used after “Overall.” Practise accurate passive process sentences, such as “The flour is transferred to a mixer, where water and oil are added,” before combining stages into longer sentences.
