Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the process as a sequence and mention several relevant inputs and stages, including flour storage, mixing, shaping, cooking, adding vegetables and spices, and final sealing. However, the account is only partly accurate and some important stages are unclear or omitted. For example, the diagram shows dough passing through rollers to form sheets, then strips and noodle discs; your description instead introduces a “partition for resting,” which is not shown. The overview also focuses on materials rather than clearly summarising the process from flour delivery to finished cups. To strengthen the response, give a concise, accurate overview and describe each main transformation in order, including the addition of noodles to cups before vegetables and spices.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable beginning, overview, and sequence of body paragraphs, and words such as “Initially” and “Furthermore” help signal progression. Nevertheless, the organisation is weakened by repetition and unclear links between stages. The final paragraph repeats the eight-step summary without adding useful information, while phrases such as “to doung strips where is there is a partition for resting” make the sequence difficult to follow. Some transitions also imply relationships that are not clear in the diagram. Organise the process into a clear start-to-finish account, using one paragraph for preparation and shaping and another for cooking, cup filling, and sealing. Avoid a repeated conclusion and use precise references to connect each stage.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silo,” “mixer,” “dough sheets,” “noodle discs,” and “labelling and sealing,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make parts difficult to understand: “doung” appears repeatedly, “noddle” is used for “noodle,” and “lubricant” does not accurately describe the role of cooking oil in the diagram. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “empty into the mixer” and “packed into cups awaiting vegetables spices.” Use accurate process verbs and collocations, for example “is transferred to,” “is rolled into strips,” and “is cooked in oil and dried.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise terms would improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts longer sentences and sequencing clauses, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the process hard to follow. Examples include “instant noodles is been produced,” “Flour is been stored,” and “oil and water was added,” where verb forms and agreement are faulty. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable, particularly in the long sentence beginning “Initially,” which joins several stages without clear structure. There is some use of subordinate clauses, such as “from where,” but these are not consistently controlled. Build accuracy with short, complete sentences first, then add one clear clause at a time. Check subject–verb agreement, passive forms (“is stored,” “are added”), articles, and punctuation when describing each stage.
