Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given labeled diagram displays that how instant noodles can be manfactured in different stages. The whole process take place in 8 steps.
Macfacturing of instant process starts from the moving flour to storage silos.
The action begins with the transfer of flour to storage silos and then to mixer machine for mixing process.Where water and oil is mixed in the flour. In next step mixed material is moved through the rollers and produced dough sheets. These dough sheets are converted into dough strips.
At the 5th stage of the manfacturing process dough strips are transformed to noodles sheets. These noodles sheet are dried and cooked.
In the following step these dried noodles are move to the cups which have vegetables and other spices .
And then cup is labeled and sealed which are ready to sale.
Overall the process has 8 major stage but affects lots of things in oue society

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the process as a sequence and report several relevant stages, including flour storage, mixing, rolling, shaping, cooking and packaging. However, the account is only partly accurate and developed: the diagram shows dough strips becoming noodle discs, not “noodles sheets,” and the noodles are cooked in oil and then dried before vegetables and spices are added to cups. The overview that the process has eight steps is useful, but the final claim that it “affects lots of things in our society” is unsupported and does not summarise the manufacturing process. To strengthen the response, give a clear overview of the start and end points and describe the main stages precisely, including the addition of vegetables and spices and the finished cups emerging on a conveyor.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic sequence, with paragraphs moving from flour storage through processing to packaging, and phrases such as “In next step” and “In the following step” help signal order. However, progression is not consistently clear: the opening repeats the idea of the process starting, and the final sentence about society interrupts the process description rather than concluding it. Some links are mechanical, while punctuation and spacing around sentence boundaries make the flow less smooth. Organise the report into a brief introduction and overview, followed by stages in order, and use clear references such as “the resulting dough” or “these discs” to connect each stage without repeating “step” so often.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “rollers,” “dough sheets,” “dough strips,” and “labeled and sealed,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and some choices are inaccurate or awkward: “noodles sheets” does not match the diagram’s noodle discs, “moving flour” is unclear, and “ready to sale” is not a natural expression. Spelling errors such as “manfactured” and “Macfacturing” also reduce control. Aim for precise terms for the product at each stage and natural process collocations. Avoid vague wording such as “affects lots of things” when describing a diagram; report only what the visual shows.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer sequences, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward. For example, “The whole process take place” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “The given labeled diagram displays that how” uses an incorrect clause pattern. There are also problems with articles, plurals and verb forms in “these dried noodles are move to the cups” and “cup is labeled and sealed which are ready to sale.” Punctuation is inconsistent, including missing spaces after full stops. Practise accurate present-simple descriptions of processes, using passive forms where appropriate—for example, “the noodles are cooked and dried”—and check agreement and sentence boundaries.
