Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the subject as a manufacturing process and mention several key stages, including mixing flour with water and oil, forming sheets and strips, cooking and drying, and adding vegetables and spices before sealing. However, the account does not clearly or accurately cover the full sequence. For example, it says noodles are transferred from the silos to the mixer, although flour is stored there and then mixed; it also omits the initial flour delivery and the final finished cups on a conveyor. The opening list of stages is difficult to follow, and there is no clear overview of the process as a whole. To strengthen the response, describe the stages in order and distinguish the noodle-making stages from the final cup-filling and packaging stages.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has an overall progression from preparation to packaging, and the second paragraph usefully signals the move to the packing stage with “after this whole cooking process.” This gives the reader a basic sense of sequence. However, the first paragraph is crowded with stages and repeated sequencing phrases such as “after that,” “then,” and “at the end,” so relationships between steps are sometimes unclear. The opening list is especially difficult to interpret, and references such as “through them” do not clearly identify the machinery or material. Organise the process into clearer stages, using one sentence for each group of steps and precise references to the noodles, dough, and cups. This would make the progression easier to follow without relying so heavily on repeated connectors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “rollers,” “dough sheets,” “vegetables and spices,” and “labelling and sealing.” These terms show an attempt to describe the diagram rather than relying entirely on general language. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled forms make the description harder to understand, such as “noodless,” “dough stips,” “ccoking,” and “manfacturing.” Some choices are also imprecise: “give them shape” does not clearly explain the formation of noodle discs, while “to make them to enjoy afterwards” is not suitable for a process description. Use accurate technical terms and concise verbs such as “form,” “cook,” “dry,” and “package,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect several stages in longer sentences, for example by using “where,” “after that,” and “before,” but these structures are often difficult to control. The opening sentence fragment beginning “First of the there…” has no clear grammatical structure, and the long sentence beginning “First noddles trasfer…” contains unclear clause relationships and inconsistent verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries are also problematic, as in “the last process of noodles manfacturing comes with is called.” These errors sometimes make it difficult to identify what happens at each stage. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences in the present simple passive, such as “The flour is mixed with water and oil,” then combine stages only when the grammatical links are clear.
