Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the process as a sequence and cover several central stages, including mixing, forming sheets and strips, shaping noodle discs, cooking, and adding vegetables and spices. However, the account is incomplete and sometimes misrepresents the diagram: the silos store flour, not noodles, and the flour is delivered by truck rather than the silos being carried by a vehicle. The overview is also missing, so the reader is not given a clear summary of the process from flour storage to sealed cups. The final stages are only briefly described; in particular, drying and the labelling and sealing of the cups are not clearly reported. Focus on the main inputs, transformations, and finished product, and check each detail against the diagram.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The numbered sequence gives the response a basic sense of order, and the reader can generally follow the stages from storage through to packaging. This is a useful foundation. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, and the repeated openings “Step 2,” “Step 3,” and “Step 5 include” make the progression mechanical rather than smoothly connected. Some links between stages are unclear, such as “In the same process noodles are placed in cup,” which does not explain how the noodles move into the cups. Use a brief overview followed by logically grouped stages, and connect them with clear process language such as “next,” “after shaping,” and “finally.”

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “mixer,” “rollers,” “Dough sheets,” “strips,” “noodle disks,” and “vegetables and spices.” These terms help communicate the general sequence. However, vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, and several inaccurate choices make the meaning difficult to follow. “Siols” appears to be intended as “flour,” while “vehicle” is less precise than “truck”; “noodle disks” is understandable but “noodle discs” matches the diagram. There are also frequent spelling errors, including “Preapration,” “coniists,” “vechicle,” and “lables.” Build a small bank of accurate manufacturing verbs and nouns, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts a few longer sentences, for example, “The mixture mixes the ingredients and pass it through rollers,” but most sentences use simple patterns, and errors are frequent enough to affect clarity. There are problems with subject–verb agreement (“the sheet are cut”), articles and plurals (“placed in cup”), and verb forms (“siols are carry through vechicle”). Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “Step 2,process include mixing.” These errors sometimes make it hard to identify what is being processed or what happens next. Practise accurate passive forms for describing processes, such as “the dough is passed through rollers,” and check agreement, articles, and punctuation in each sentence.
