Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the diagram as a manufacturing process and give a general start-to-finish overview, including flour storage and the final packaging stage. However, the overview says there are eight steps without clearly summarising the main transformation, and several stages are misreported or unclear. For example, the noodles are not put into cups before drying: the discs are cooked in oil and dried first, then vegetables and spices are added as they enter cups. The account also omits the important progression from dough sheets to strips and then discs, and does not clearly describe labelling and sealing. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Cover each stage accurately and make the overview more informative.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall sequence, supported by markers such as “First,” “Next,” “On fifth stage,” and “Finally,” so the reader can follow the broad direction of the process. The opening overview also helps establish the topic. However, the stages are crowded into one body paragraph, and several transitions are awkward or unclear, particularly “after that the dough strips trasformed” and “Furthermore, these discs contained in cups after that drying.” This makes the order of events difficult to follow. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and the detailed stages, and connect each step with clear, accurate sequencing rather than stacking several actions in one sentence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “mixer,” “rollers,” “dough sheets,” “noodles discs,” and “labelling and sealing.” This gives the response a basic range suited to the diagram. However, word choice and spelling errors are noticeable: “contain the flour” is not a natural way to describe storage, “soft dough” adds an unsupported detail, and “customes” and “Begining” are misspelled. Phrases such as “finished good” and “attract the customes” are also imprecise for a neutral process description. Aim for accurate process verbs and standard collocations, such as “is transferred,” “is shaped into,” and “finished product,” while avoiding claims about taste or marketing that the diagram does not show.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, and the use of sequencing clauses shows some effort to describe a multi-stage process. However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the sequence hard to interpret. Examples include “the process consists on eight steps,” “Begining with…the flour stored,” and “the flour tranferred to mixer,” where verb forms and sentence construction are incomplete or incorrect. The sentence beginning “Next, a soft dough moved through rollers” also needs a passive verb form, and “these discs contained in cups” lacks the required auxiliary. Punctuation is inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and sentence boundaries. Practise consistent present-simple passive forms, which are especially useful for describing processes.
