Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the process as having eight stages and cover its broad progression from flour storage to the finished, sealed cups. This gives the reader a basic account of the diagram. However, several stages are described imprecisely: for example, “dough sheets” are said to be “compresses by rollers,” and the transformation from dough strips into noodle discs is not clearly explained. The overview also adds unsupported claims that the process is “really quick” and that the noodles are “going to supply with chain”; speed and distribution are not shown. To make the report more complete, give a clear overview of the main production sequence and accurately describe the key transformations and additions at each stage.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a generally understandable order, using “First,” “In the second stage,” and “The last eight stage” to guide the reader through the process. The opening overview and the subsequent stage-by-stage account also provide a basic overall arrangement. However, the long middle paragraph makes the sequence harder to follow, and some links are awkward or unclear, such as “Following which this is then moved” and “These strips are then placed into noodles discs.” The final sentence about a “supply chain” does not connect clearly to the diagram. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and process details, and make each transition show precisely what moves to the next stage.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “mixer,” “rollers,” “vegetables,” and “labelling and sealing,” so the reader can recognise many of the diagram’s stages. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making the process unclear. For instance, “transportation vehical” is not a natural description of the truck, “puting into cups” is awkward, and “supply with chain” does not express a clear final stage. There are also spelling errors such as “throgh” and “vehical.” Aim for precise process verbs and standard collocations, such as “is transferred,” “is shaped into,” and “is packaged.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to describe a sequence using both simple statements and longer linked sentences, and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, particularly with verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Examples include “The Diagram provide,” “these flour were put,” and “these cooked noodles are puting into cups.” The sentence beginning “Following which” is also incomplete or awkwardly attached to the preceding idea, while “The whole process involved on eight different stages” has an incorrect grammatical pattern. Practise accurate passive forms for process descriptions—for example, “flour is stored” and “the noodles are cooked”—and check subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries.
