Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the broad sequence from storage silos through mixing and shaping to cooking, adding ingredients, and sealing. However, the account only partially covers the diagram: it says there are “7 steps” although the process shows eight numbered stages, and it omits key details such as the rollers forming sheets and strips, and the finished cups emerging on a conveyor. The overview repeats that the process starts at the silos and ends with labelling and sealing, but does not clearly summarise the main transformation from flour into packaged noodles. Some details are also unclear or unsupported, such as “huge amount” being produced. Describe the stages accurately and give a concise overview of the complete process.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an identifiable introduction, overview and two body sections, and the stages are generally presented in process order. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression is weakened by repeated statements, including the process being “complicated” and the repeated description of its start and finish. Linking words such as “and,” “so,” and “the next step” are used repeatedly, sometimes joining several ideas into long, unclear sentences. The headings and capitalisation are also inconsistent. Group the stages into clear phases—for example, preparation and shaping, followed by cooking and packaging—and use precise links such as “afterwards” or “once shaped” to show how each stage leads to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “dough sheets,” “dough strips,” “vegetables and spices,” and “labelling and sealing.” These terms help identify several stages. However, the range is limited and repetition of “noddles,” “process,” and “step” makes the description imprecise. There are noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, including “noddles,” “mixture” where a process or machine is meant, and “well tast.” Some phrases, such as “give the instant noddle shape,” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Build a more accurate set of process verbs and nouns, and check spelling and collocations so that the reader can follow each transformation without guessing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to describe stages using both simple statements and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent. Many sentences contain errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms, which sometimes make relationships between stages difficult to follow. For example, “the material are provide” has incorrect agreement and verb form, while “it is start from storage silos step” has an inaccurate construction. Several fragments, such as “the complicated process to complete this process,” are not complete sentences. Punctuation and capitalisation also interrupt the flow. Practise writing one complete sentence for each stage, checking subject–verb agreement and tense, then combine related steps with accurate clauses such as “After the dough is rolled into sheets, it is cut into strips.”
