Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the topic and give a brief overview of the main stages, from flour storage through to sealing the cups. However, the account is only partial and some details are inaccurate or unclear: the diagram shows flour moving from silos to a mixer, then through rollers to form sheets and strips, rather than being handled by a “loader vain” or “ruler.” It also shows the noodles being cooked in oil and dried, not cooked on a burner for oil drying. The final stages are mentioned, but the process is not explained with enough precise detail. The response is also 29 words below the required minimum, limiting the coverage. To improve, describe each stage accurately and add a fuller overview of the production sequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response follows the general order of production, and sequencing expressions such as “Initialy,” “After this,” and “At last” help the reader follow the process. However, the stages are compressed into a few long sentences, so the progression is not consistently clear. Some links are mechanical or awkward, including “Further more” and “moreover,” while the transition from cooking to cup filling is abrupt. The overview is not separated clearly from the detailed account, and punctuation does not reliably mark the boundaries between stages. Organise the response into a short overview and a step-by-step description, using clear sentence breaks and a wider range of accurate linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silo,” “dough sheets,” “noodle discs,” “vegetables and spices,” and “labels.” This gives the reader a basic understanding of the stages. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or spellings are inaccurate, such as “loader vain,” “ruler,” “seeale,” and “Oveall.” Some expressions are also imprecise for a process description: “make noodle discs” and “attach labels of certain company” do not clearly describe the diagram. Use accurate terms such as “rollers,” “form,” “add,” and “seal,” and check spelling carefully. More precise process vocabulary would make the account clearer and less repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts to connect stages in longer sentences, for example, “after this using a ruler make dough sheets,” but these structures are often faulty and can make the sequence difficult to interpret. There are frequent problems with sentence construction, verb forms, articles, and agreement: “there are 8 steps conssist on” and “flour is brought from storage … and put it in a mixture” are not grammatically controlled. The final sentence, “Now our noodles are ready for eating,” shifts into a conversational style rather than maintaining a consistent process-reporting form. Use the present simple passive consistently, such as “The flour is mixed with water and oil,” and separate each stage into a complete sentence. This will improve accuracy and clarity.
