Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the process as having eight stages and give a basic overview from flour storage to cup labelling and sealing. Most of the main sequence is included, including mixing, forming dough sheets and strips, cooking and drying, and adding vegetables and spices. However, the account is brief and some details are unclear or incomplete: for example, the noodles are placed into cups, but the diagram shows cups being introduced at the filling stage, and the final emergence of finished cups on a conveyor is not reported. The response also falls 16 words short of the required minimum, limiting the detail you can provide. To strengthen the summary, describe the stages more precisely and include the finished product as the endpoint.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall order: an introduction and overview are followed by stages from flour storage through to packaging. Sequencing phrases such as “First,” “After that,” “In the next stage,” and “Finally” help the reader follow the process. The paragraphing is also appropriate, with the overview separated from the stage-by-stage account. However, some links feel mechanical, and the final sentence repeats the idea that the noodles are ready. Punctuation and spacing problems, such as “noodles,in” and “silos. After,” interrupt the flow. Grouping related stages into smoother sentences and using clearer references to the dough, strips, discs, and cups would make the progression more cohesive.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “mixer,” “rollers,” “dough sheets,” “noodles discs,” and “labelling and sealing.” This gives the reader a basic understanding of the manufacturing stages. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, form, and spelling errors reduce precision, including “toring,” “transfered,” “paas,” “cookind,” “vagetables,” and “labbeling.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “pass through oil for cooking and drying” and “ready for selling.” Aim for accurate process collocations and vary repeated words such as “stage” and “ready.” Careful proofreading of spelling and word forms would make the description clearer and more appropriate for an academic process report.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer clauses, for example, “Once noodles are ready, they are placed into the cups and vegetables and spices are added.” This shows some ability to connect stages and use passive forms, which are useful for describing a process. However, errors occur frequently in verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. Examples include “there are eight stages involve,” “flour toring in big storage silos,” and “Dough sheets cut into the long strips”; these need forms such as “are involved,” “is stored,” and “are cut into long strips.” The final sentence, “after complete all stage,” is also grammatically incomplete. Practise consistent passive constructions and check sentence boundaries, capitalization, and spacing after punctuation.
