Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the process as beginning with flour entering storage silos and ending with the cups being labelled and sealed, and you include several central stages, such as mixing, forming dough, cooking and adding vegetables and spices. This gives the reader a relevant account of the overall process. However, some stages are unclear or inaccurately described: the noodles are formed into discs before cooking, rather than simply remaining on discs, and the account does not clearly explain that dough sheets become strips and then noodle discs. The statement that the products are “sold to the markets” is not shown in the diagram. To make the report more complete, describe the sequence precisely and include the final cups emerging on the conveyor.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction and overview are followed by stages in sequence, with transitions such as “Initially,” “Subsequently,” “Furthermore” and “Lastly.” This helps the reader follow the broad progression. However, some linking is mechanical, and the overview sentence “While it have more steps in the manufacturing” is incomplete, interrupting the flow. Connections between stages are also occasionally unclear, particularly in “Further, the dough strips are used to make their shape like noodles.” Organise the process into clearer stages and use references such as “these strips” or “the resulting discs” to show how each product moves to the next step.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “mixer,” “rollers,” “dough sheets,” “vegetables and spices,” and “labelled and sealed.” These terms make the subject recognisable, and some sequencing language adds variety. However, several choices are imprecise or unnatural, such as “make their shape like noodles,” “Nextly,” and “sold to the markets”; the last detail is also unsupported by the diagram. Repetition of “flour,” “noodles” and “cups” limits flexibility. Aim for precise process verbs and natural collocations, for example, describing dough as being rolled into sheets, cut into strips, and shaped into discs.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses joined with “while” and “and,” and the main stages can generally be understood. However, some errors in verb forms, agreement and sentence construction reduce accuracy. For example, “manufacturing begin” needs subject–verb agreement, “it have” is incorrect, and “the flour is took” uses the wrong past participle. In “water and oil is added,” the plural subject requires a plural verb. The overview’s “While it have more steps in the manufacturing” is also an incomplete clause. Practise passive forms consistently for process descriptions and check agreement and sentence completeness when editing.
