Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the subject as the manufacture of instant noodles and mention several relevant stages, including flour storage, cooking and drying, adding vegetables and spices, and final packaging. However, the account is very incomplete: it omits key steps such as forming dough sheets, cutting dough into strips, and shaping the noodles into discs, while the mixer and rollers are described unclearly. The overview does not clearly summarise the process from raw materials to finished cups, and “ready to store for selling” adds an outcome not shown in the diagram. The response also falls 38 words short of the 150-word minimum, limiting the detail you can provide. Cover the full sequence and give a clear overview of its start and finish.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: an opening, a general statement, and a sequence of stages. Phrases such as “In the beginning” and “In the final stages” help signal movement through the process. However, progression is difficult to follow because the stages are compressed into short, sometimes incomplete statements, and the numbering is inconsistent: “Thrid stages” is followed by “Four stage” and then “Subsequence.” Some links between steps are missing, so it is unclear how the mixer, rollers, dough, and noodle discs connect. Use complete sentences and consistent sequencing language, and group related stages so the reader can follow the process without having to infer the connections.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “silos,” “flour,” “vegetables and spices,” “cooking,” and “drying,” which helps identify parts of the process. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make the description hard to understand, such as “manufacture instant noodles,” “starting silor storage,” and “packging and labeling.” Some terms are also used imprecisely: “making the cups” does not clearly convey that noodles and ingredients are placed into cups. Aim for accurate process vocabulary and check spelling and word forms. More precise verbs such as “mix,” “roll,” “cut,” “cook,” and “seal” would help explain what happens at each stage.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to describe a sequence using short statements and a few longer forms, but grammatical control is weak and errors frequently obscure the relationships between stages. For example, “The diagram illustrates the process of manufacture instant noodles” lacks the correct verb pattern, while “water and oil mixer by machine and rollers” has no clear subject–verb structure. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “In the beginning process of making instant noodles flour storage in the silos.” Most sentences are fragments or lack a clear verb, and punctuation does not consistently separate ideas. Practise building complete sentences with a subject and verb, for example: “Flour is stored in silos before it is mixed with water and oil.”
