Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the topic and give a basic overview that the process has eight steps, then mention several relevant stages, including flour storage, mixing, dough sheets and strips, cooking, drying, and cup packaging. However, the account is incomplete and some details are unclear or inaccurate: the noodles are not simply “packed in a cup with vegetables”; vegetables and spices are added to the cups after cooking and drying, before labelling and sealing. The sequence is also muddled by “by passing all process” and the repeated, unclear reference to “7 steps.” The response is 143 words, below the required 150. To improve, describe the stages in order, include the rollers and formation of noodle discs, and state clearly how the finished cups are labelled and sealed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the description chronologically, using “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “Ultimately,” and the reader can recognise the general movement from flour to packaged noodles. However, the response does not progress clearly through the stages: several processes are compressed into one long sentence, while the final stages are repeated in different wording. “By passing all process” and “by pasing noodles these 7 steps” do not make the relationships between stages clear. The opening and conclusion also repeat the same general idea rather than adding useful structure. Use separate paragraphs for an overview and the ordered process, and connect each stage with precise sequencing language such as “next,” “after this,” and “finally.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “storage silos,” “dough sheets,” “dough strips,” “drying,” and “sealing,” which helps convey the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the description difficult to follow. For example, “species” is used where the diagram shows spices, and “vihicle,” “roolers,” “pasing,” “labled,” “noodels,” and “seeling” contain noticeable spelling errors. Phrases such as “provide flour to storage silos” and “a well idea” are also unnatural. Aim for accurate process collocations and use the diagram’s labels consistently, such as “flour is transported to the silos” and “vegetables and spices are added.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to describe a sequence and includes some longer sentence forms, but grammatical control is weak and errors frequently affect clarity. For example, “The picture illustrate” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “the process include 8 steps to made” combines an agreement error with an incorrect verb form. Tense and passive constructions are also unreliable in “cooking oil is add in it” and “noodles packed in a cup.” Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly the long sentence beginning “Secondly mixer add water.” Use consistent present simple passive forms for a process description—for example, “Flour is stored” and “The noodles are dried”—and check agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
