Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the diagram as a manufacturing process and mention several relevant stages, including mixing, forming dough sheets and strips, cooking and drying, and adding vegetables and spices. However, the account only partially reports the process: the overview says it ends with labels, rather than explaining that finished noodle cups emerge after labelling and sealing. Some details are unclear or inaccurate, such as saying flour is delivered “in container” and that the mixer stage involves “water and oil in a rollers.” The numbered stages are also not consistently matched to the sequence. To make the report more complete, give a clear overview of the start and finished product, then describe each main stage accurately and in order, including the cups and final sealing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an identifiable beginning, a main description, and a concluding sentence, and it generally attempts to follow the manufacturing sequence. This gives the reader some sense of progression. However, the organisation is weakened by repeated information: the conclusion repeats that the process has eight steps and ends with labels, while the overview also refers to the ending. Linking words such as “However” and “Moreover” do not always show the relationship between stages, and several long sentences combine multiple steps without clear boundaries. For example, the sentence beginning “The noodles process was start…” is difficult to follow. Use one concise overview, separate the stages into logical groups, and use straightforward sequencing expressions such as “Next” and “Finally.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the diagram, including “storage silos,” “dough sheets,” “dough strips,” “cooking,” and “labelling.” These terms show an attempt to describe the process rather than relying entirely on general language. However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling and word-choice problems make parts difficult to understand: “sorage soil,” “delaverd,” “dics,” and “species” obscure the intended terms. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “the method of instant noodles manufacturing” and “labels is ready for using on his daily needs.” Aim for accurate process vocabulary and natural collocations, such as “instant noodle production,” “the noodles are dried,” and “the finished cups are sealed.” Proofreading technical nouns would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect stages in longer sentences, but the grammatical range is limited and errors are frequent enough to make relationships between steps unclear. Verb forms and agreement are recurring problems: “the process is start,” “this proces are consist,” and “the noodles process was start” should use correctly formed passive or present-simple structures. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “in a container” and “this dough sheet are gone.” Several clauses lack a clear grammatical structure, particularly “the second step they are covert to mixer add water and oil in a rollers.” Practise describing processes with accurate passive forms, for example, “The flour is mixed with water and oil,” and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
