Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the process as having eight steps and describe the early stages in a generally relevant order, including flour storage, mixing, rolling, shaping and cooking. However, the account stops after cooking and drying: it omits the addition of vegetables and spices, filling the cups, and labelling and sealing, so the later half of the process is not reported. The overview also says the goods are packed and sealed, but this is not explained in the body. In addition, the response contains 129 words, below the required 150, which limits the detail provided. To improve, complete every stage and give a concise overview that captures both preparation and final packaging.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, an overview and a chronological account. Sequencing words such as “Secondly,” “Thirdly” and “Sixthly” help the reader follow the stages that are included. However, the progression is weakened by the abrupt ending after cooking and drying, and the overview mentions packaging without connecting it to the later stages. Some linking is mechanical and repetitive, particularly the repeated ordinal markers. The opening sentence of the overview, “Starting with transporting raw material…,” is also a fragment rather than a complete sentence. Organise the process into clear beginning, middle and final stages, and use a wider range of natural links such as “After this” and “Finally.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use several relevant process terms, including “storage silos,” “rollers,” “dough,” “strips” and “discs,” so the reader can understand the main stages described. However, the vocabulary is limited and some choices are inaccurate or awkward: “manufacturing platform” is unclear, “cutting” does not accurately describe the transformation into strips, and “discs shape” is not a natural phrase. Spelling errors such as “whith” and “cooing” are noticeable, while “storages” is not the appropriate form in this context. Use precise process vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe the dough as being “cut into strips” and the noodles as being “formed into discs.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple statements and longer clauses, and the chronological sequence is usually understandable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur in sentence formation, agreement and verb forms. “Starting with transporting raw material…” is a fragment, while “dough are then rolled” and “shaped noodles undergoes” have subject–verb agreement errors. The phrase “where water and oil are added in flour” also shows an inaccurate grammatical pattern. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, including spaces before full stops and the run-together “To begin with, firstly.” Aim to write complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and articles when revising.
