Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify several relevant stages, including flour storage, mixing with water and oil, forming sheets and strips, frying and drying, adding vegetables and spices, and packaging. However, the response only partially reports the process: there is no clear overview of the full sequence, and some details are inaccurate or unclear. For example, the diagram shows the strips becoming noodle discs before they are cooked in oil and dried; “Discs can easily fried” does not clearly describe this transition. The final stages are also compressed, and the addition of cups is not explained as part of the production line. Focus on an objective summary, give a concise overview, and describe each major stage in order without adding general comments about noodles as food or marketing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has some organisation: it begins with introductory comments, then describes production from flour and mixing through to packaging. This gives the reader a broad sense of the process. However, the opening does not function as a clear overview, and the stages are not consistently linked into a complete progression. Connections such as “however” in “however oil already added” do not express a clear contrast, while “after fried the process start drying” makes the relationship between cooking and drying difficult to follow. Paragraphing is limited, and several ideas are crowded into long sentences. Use a short introduction and overview, then group the stages into logical sections and use precise sequencing words such as “next,” “afterwards,” and “finally.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt relevant process vocabulary, including “silos,” “mixer,” “dough sheets,” “strips,” “discs,” “conveyor,” and “sealing.” These terms show awareness of the topic, but the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the description less clear. Examples include “multiple technoligies,” “large capicity,” “lenghty,” “eaisly,” and “flavoures.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “light food,” “proper contain the product,” and “marketing of product.” Aim for accurate, standard process language and check spelling carefully. Prefer direct descriptions such as “the dough is cut into strips” and “the cups are sealed and labelled” over vague or promotional wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some longer sentence forms to connect stages, for example, “after adding flour from silo and water plus oil in mixing tank.” However, the response relies heavily on basic structures, and attempts to combine several actions often produce faulty sentences. There are recurring problems with articles, plurals, agreement, and verb forms: “Main ingrident of noodle is flour,” “Instant noodles has,” and “Roller uses for dough sheets” are examples. The sentence beginning “Cups use for proper contain” also lacks a clear grammatical structure. These errors sometimes make the process difficult to interpret. Practise writing complete passive sentences for each stage, such as “The flour is mixed with water and oil,” and check subject–verb agreement and articles.
