Student answer (Band 5.0)
This is an important topic to discuss. In this topic, we are discussing the logical facts and points on advertising.
The era we are living in advertising become a part of ours lives. If we are using any sort of internet or watching Tv. Somehow we can see ads if we don't want to watch the ads we are still watching.
I am the explains all my facts on that the advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. That's true , if I want to buy some kind of product for my daily life. I'll go to the internet search that specific products and watch the advertising to see that how it works what the main features of this products. Then, I read all the reviews about the product, Also some ads tells that price difference from others products and that help us to buy that certain product.
Other point is people thin that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. That's point is also true because the ads become so common. Online shopping become trend now people buy all their things through website and all kind of businesses produces and runs run so many ads through meta ads. If you are just scroll, you can see a lot of common advertising and people stat to ignoring it. Personally if am watching a movie and then a sudden ad pop out in my screen. I just quickly ignore it. So, that's the reason people think ad become so common.
This is all the logical facts according my point if view.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both views and give a personal example of using advertisements when researching a product, as well as describing how you ignore pop-up ads. However, the response only partially develops the task: the first view is mainly illustrated through your own shopping habits, while the second is asserted rather than supported with broader explanation. Your final sentence does not clearly state a considered overall opinion about how persuasive advertising is. The response is also 245 words, so it falls five words short of the 250-word minimum; the 23 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop each view with a clear reason and example, then state your position explicitly in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the response moves from an introduction to one paragraph on advertising’s persuasive effect and another on people ignoring frequent ads. The examples help readers identify which view you are discussing. However, progression is not consistently clear, and several linking phrases are repetitive or awkward, such as “Other point” and “So, that's the reason.” The opening repeats the idea of discussing the topic without previewing the two sides, while the final sentence (“This is all the logical facts…”) does not bring the argument to a clear conclusion. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, connect explanations to examples, and finish with a direct summary of your opinion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “advertising,” “reviews,” “price difference,” and “ignoring it.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural—for example, “the era we are living in advertising become a part of ours lives” and “people stat to ignoring it.” Repetition of “ads,” “product,” and “common” also limits precision. Aim to use a wider set of accurate expressions for influence, exposure, and consumer decisions, and check spelling and word forms. More precise vocabulary would make your examples clearer without changing the basic ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response relies mainly on short, simple statements and has limited control when attempting longer structures. Errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. For example, “advertising become a part of ours lives” needs a correctly formed verb and possessive, while “people buy all their things through website” has problems with number and article use. The sentence beginning “If we are using any sort of internet…” is a fragment, and “I am the explains all my facts” is difficult to interpret because of its structure. These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the general meaning is usually recoverable. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with clear clauses and punctuation.
