Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some people say that adversity is extremely successful at persuading us to purchase stuffs. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. Both the views have their own opinions and I will demonstrate my opinion in further details.
Firstly, an advertisements play vital role in attracting the customers towards their products. The way of presenting the product details to public is key factor for ensuring interests of consumers. Moreover, the advertising industries focus on promoting their products through brand collaborations on various social media platforms. This method helps to gain more popularity as many social media users believe in perfection and instant results as shown by the influencers on distinct levels. This attracts young customers more as they like to experience new products.
Secondly, throughout the long period of time advertisements became quite common to costumers which results in minimal interest towards them. This happens because advertisers lacks in generating modern content to attract young customers. They are not capable for producing adds in professional form. Attraction acts like a link between advertisements and the customers. Furthermore, adopting new advertising strategies to promote products can change customers perceptions.
In my opinion, both the statements are true.
This is because customers have different ways of attraction according to their generation gap. The young users believe that the advertisements are common whereas adults have opposite opinions about adds as they reaches to the maximum potential level for them. So, advertisements should be launched in the terms that it can attract both types of consumers.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the explanation of why advertisements are ignored is brief and lacks specific examples or deeper analysis. While the prompt is addressed, the arguments remain at a surface level. The conclusion attempts to synthesize the views but could be more clearly articulated to show how these two perspectives coexist. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more robust explanation and a concrete example to support the main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore' are used to link sentences. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the connection between 'generation gap' and the specific arguments is a bit abrupt. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the flow between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother to better connect the two opposing viewpoints.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are noticeable errors in word choice and spelling. For instance, 'adversity' is used instead of 'advertising', and 'stuffs' is an informal, non-count noun usage. Phrases like 'adds' (instead of 'ads' or 'advertisements') and 'in the terms that' are awkward. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'brand collaborations' and 'social media platforms', the overall control is inconsistent, which occasionally impacts the precision of the argument.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('advertisers lacks', 'as they reaches') and incorrect article usage ('an advertisements'). Some sentences are structurally awkward, such as 'The way of presenting the product details to public is key factor'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to affect the overall clarity. Increasing the variety of error-free complex sentences and proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement would significantly improve the score.
