Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern world, a significant number of individuals argue the people tend to spend more on products because of these advertisement meanwhile, some believe that most of the people do not pay any attention to it. I support the latter view; however, both perspectives will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
Supporters of the first school of thoughts claims that a lot of people do not have knowledge about the market trends. This is to say that, numerous people living in the remote areas and rural areas where they do not have a access to the internet. So, it will be challenging for them to find essentials of their daily use. Moreover, they think it will be quite easy for many individuals to access the products and items by seeing advertisement. many of the people find advertisement interesting and informational because it gives all the needed information of the product.
While, critics of aforementioned view, including me argue that many people feel it quite boring and common. As a result, they do not pay any attention on such advertisements. To clarify, in today's world everybody have a access to internet, they think that it is more convenient to check the product online. In addition, anyone have no leisure time. People are always in hurry, so they do not get possess by seeing such advertisements on public areas.
In conclusion, I reaffirm that advertisement is informative and help the companies to earn some profit to an extend but in the modern era it is not much useful as it was in traditional times.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding rural areas and internet access is slightly tangential to the core debate about the effectiveness of advertising. The second body paragraph attempts to explain why people ignore ads, but the reasoning is a bit repetitive and lacks depth. To improve, you should focus on providing more specific, logical explanations for why advertising might be considered 'successful' versus 'ignored' in the modern context. The conclusion is a bit contradictory, as it acknowledges the informative nature of ads while simultaneously dismissing their current utility, which slightly confuses your overall stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Moreover', 'As a result', and 'In addition', to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel forced. For example, the transition 'While, critics of aforementioned view' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the flow. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'do not get possess by seeing such advertisements', where the meaning is obscured by poor phrasing. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help the essay read more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'a lot of', 'things', and 'items'. There are also instances of incorrect word choice or collocation, such as 'get possess by' (which is unclear) and 'to an extend' (should be 'to an extent'). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'market trends' and 'convenient', the overall range is limited. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and ensuring that collocations are used accurately in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Supporters... claims', 'everybody have a access') and article usage ('a access'). There are also awkward phrasing issues, such as 'do not get possess by seeing such advertisements'. While the meaning is generally understandable, these recurring errors demonstrate a lack of control over complex structures. To improve, focus on basic subject-verb agreement and proofreading for common errors like missing or unnecessary articles, which will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
