Student answer (Band 5.0)

Both point of view is correct . Some people believe that advertising of any thing is the important role in our life but on the other side some people believe that that way is so common and not have any important role in our life.

firstly, i strongly agree with the people who says advertising have important role in the human life. if the person who is not outgoing and want to stay at home they just obsessed with the newly thing which is on the top of the hyping series part. they just review all that things and just odered indoor of their home this process is not time taking . many people can save their time specially if the person is office going or taking classes also they just have no enough time in the regular routine . they just odered them and receive that and use it.

on the other side , some people think like advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. somewhere i agree with this . its totally depend on the system or people behavior . if they are interested in the shopping to buy anything by self on that way they not pay more attention on that advertising. furthermore, if they have any bad experience to buy some thing online through the advertising . all the reason behind this at this point.

in the last, both conditions is valid for both poeple . many poeple are satisfied on the same way many people think this way is not good .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both views mentioned in the prompt, but the development of ideas is limited and lacks depth. While you state your opinion, the supporting arguments are repetitive and rely on vague generalisations, such as the mention of 'hyping series' or 'bad experience'. The response lacks specific examples or logical progression to fully support the points made. To improve, you should aim to provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples for each perspective to ensure the task is fully addressed with well-developed ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical flow between and within paragraphs is weak. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'in the last' instead of 'in conclusion' or 'all the reason behind this at this point', which makes the connection between ideas unclear. Referencing is also inconsistent, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'important role', 'things', and 'way', which restricts the precision of your argument. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'newly thing' and 'ordered indoor of their home', which are not natural English expressions. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary to include more precise, topic-specific terms and demonstrate a better understanding of how words collocate in academic contexts.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'Both point of view is correct' and 'many poeple are satisfied'. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty or contain punctuation errors. Articles and prepositions are frequently misused or omitted. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
