Unquestionably, every coin has two sides and so are the people . Society's people are divided into two groups and therefore, advertising has become a topic of debate among people .This essay will compare and contrast both of the opinions along with my opinion which will be discussed in a sensible conclusion .

Moreover, modern digital advertising allows businesses to target specific groups according to their interests, age and online behavior. For example, a teenager who frequently searches for sports shoes may repeatedly see advertisements for new footwear on social media, which can eventually influence their purchasing decision. Therefore, well-designed advertisements can create demand even for products that consumers did not originally intend to purchase

On its contrasting side, people who held another view say that Modern consumers are bombarded with promotional messages throughout the day, particularly while browsing the internet and using social media. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The essay addresses both viewpoints and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. The ideas are relevant and supported by examples, such as the teenager searching for sports shoes and the use of ad-blocking software. However, the development of the ideas is somewhat brief. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on the implications of these points rather than just stating them. For instance, you could discuss the long-term psychological impact of advertising or the economic consequences for businesses if their ads are ignored. The position is consistent throughout, but the introduction is slightly generic and could be more focused on the specific topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized with a clear progression of ideas. Each paragraph has a central theme, and the transition between the two viewpoints is handled well using phrases like 'On its contrasting side'. However, some cohesive devices are used in a slightly mechanical or repetitive way. For example, the opening sentence is a bit clunky and does not flow naturally into the rest of the introduction. Additionally, the punctuation in the conclusion, specifically the 'n,', is distracting and disrupts the flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to discuss the topic with some precision, using terms like 'persuasive language', 'emotional appeals', and 'skeptical'. There is an attempt to use less common vocabulary, which is generally successful. However, there are some minor inaccuracies and awkward phrasing, such as 'Society's people' and 'Initiating with the points supporting first'. These do not impede communication, but they do limit the score. To improve, focus on more natural collocations and avoid slightly unnatural phrasing. Expanding your repertoire of academic vocabulary would help you move into the higher band range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While many sentences are clear and accurate, there are several grammatical slips and punctuation errors. For example, 'so are the people' is grammatically incorrect in this context, and there are issues with comma placement and capitalization, such as 'To conclude i would like to say that ,n,'. These errors are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and punctuation consistency. Increasing the use of more sophisticated complex structures while maintaining accuracy will also help elevate your score.
