Student answer (Band 5.0)
According to the reference we can notice that advertising is important or helpful in buying products to public. In some cases people say that advertising is important and on the other hand some people believe that advertising is not that much important. In further paragraph I will discuss them with a deep detailing.
In my opinion, it is very important to advertise the product on social media platforms because we will get more information of the product which we used to buy by looking at the main purposes from the ads and we can gain more knowledge about the product. For example, water is very important need for everyone in life but in market there are several water companies which are selling water with the help of ads we can identify which company is selling good and more clean and filter water. That's why people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things.
If we do not want to buy some kind of new things but while watching ads on television and gaining information about the product which is very good we can think to buy it. Some companies use advertising scheme for some good sale like selling to customer in good discounts people got attract my this type of scheme.
Nowadays, advertising is so common that people not usually pay attention to it but when someone want to buy a product they do not see the details of the product not that much they usually see the ads of that product.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views, but the development is limited and somewhat repetitive. While you state your opinion, the arguments lack depth and clear structure. For instance, the example regarding water companies is vague and does not fully explain how advertising persuades consumers versus why it might be ignored. The conclusion is also weak and does not effectively summarize the two perspectives or your own position. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on one clear argument supported by specific, logical reasoning rather than general statements. The response meets the minimum length requirement, but the ideas need more substantial expansion to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disjointed. Transitions between ideas are mechanical or missing, such as the abrupt shift between the introduction and the body paragraphs. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes inaccurate, for example, 'In further paragraph' is not standard academic phrasing. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore,' 'conversely,' 'consequently') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects back to the prompt.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, relying on simple terms like 'important,' 'good,' and 'buy.' There are instances of awkward word choices, such as 'deep detailing' and 'advertising scheme for some good sale.' The range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to marketing and consumer behavior. Avoid using the same words repeatedly; instead, look for synonyms and more sophisticated vocabulary to convey your meaning more effectively. Spelling is generally accurate, but the lack of lexical variety significantly limits the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they are often grammatically flawed, such as 'when someone want to buy a product they do not see the details of the product not that much they usually see the ads.' There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence construction that occasionally impede clarity. To improve, practice using a wider range of complex structures, such as relative clauses and conditional sentences, and pay closer attention to basic grammatical rules like pluralization and verb tense consistency.
