Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the task achievement score. While you address both views, the conclusion is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence. The development of ideas is somewhat superficial; for instance, the point about social media advertisements is anecdotal rather than analytical. To improve, ensure you fully develop each paragraph with clear topic sentences and supporting evidence, and always provide a complete, well-reasoned conclusion that synthesizes your arguments and clearly states your own opinion, which is currently underdeveloped.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by the incomplete ending. You use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'For example', but the transition between ideas is sometimes mechanical or abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'without having ang consent over it', where the pronoun usage is confusing. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph flows naturally into the next. The lack of a finished conclusion significantly disrupts the overall coherence of the piece.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'things' and 'goods' repeatedly. There are also several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'back mind thoughts' instead of 'subconscious thought' and 'ang' instead of 'any'. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'impulsive buying' and 'manipulate', which is positive. To improve, focus on learning collocations and avoiding repetitive, generic nouns. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you express your ideas with more sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('many of individuals says'), incorrect verb forms ('to made their thing look'), and punctuation errors. The sentence 'Unnecessary add like about cloth is pop-up over the screen' is grammatically fragmented and unclear. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency. Proofreading for common errors like pluralization and article usage will also help improve your accuracy significantly.
