Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding the 'new generation' is repetitive, and the discussion on why some people find advertising successful lacks depth, relying on generalizations about 'parent's generation' rather than exploring psychological or economic factors. The opinion is stated but could be more clearly integrated throughout the essay. To improve, you should provide more specific examples or logical reasoning to support your claims, ensuring that each paragraph contributes meaningfully to the overall argument rather than just restating the prompt's premise.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Starting with', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the transition between the two viewpoints is abrupt. The use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'One question arrives in our mind that "which people thinks in such a way ?"', which disrupts the logical progression. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'boring', 'disturbing', and 'good way'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'a pop of advertisement comes' (should be 'pop-up advertisement') and 'advertisement have become' (subject-verb agreement error). To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to marketing and consumer behavior, such as 'ubiquitous', 'persuasive', 'targeted', or 'consumer engagement', and ensure that your collocations are natural and accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('advertising have become', 'people gets more tempted'), article usage ('in early days'), and punctuation errors (spaces before commas). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors prevent the writing from reaching a higher level of accuracy. You should focus on proofreading for basic agreement rules and ensuring that your punctuation follows standard conventions, particularly regarding the placement of commas and quotation marks.
