Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that advertisements target youngsters, the explanation is brief and relies on a generic example. The second viewpoint regarding the lack of attention is also touched upon but lacks depth. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed reasoning or specific examples. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and does not fully synthesise the points discussed. Ensure that each paragraph provides a thorough exploration of the prompt's requirements to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'Undoubtedly', 'On the other hand', and 'Consequently'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'While, the opponent believe'. Additionally, some sentences lack smooth transitions, making the flow feel a bit disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your referencing (e.g., 'it', 'they') clearly points back to the intended nouns to avoid ambiguity.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'ads are attracted people', 'eggar for purchasing', and 'not a attention seeker'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly unclear. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations. To improve, try to learn words in context rather than in isolation and focus on using more academic, precise terminology to express your ideas effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of your writing. Examples include 'the opponent believe' (subject-verb agreement), 'young one's' (incorrect apostrophe), and 'what ever they are seeing in ads is not a reality'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your main point, they are frequent enough to limit your score. Focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction before attempting more complex structures.
