Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people argue that the advertising is entirely convincing society and their choices in the products. Other belive that the nowdays publicity is become usual and they are not willing to pay attention to it. This phenomenon discussed in the further paragrphs with potential reasons.
One of the main arguements supporting the influence of advertisng is its power to connect with the people on an emotional level. Corporations and companies are seeking the attention of masses to promote their products and items, so they promote it through the celebrity and popular person who can build trust in public. This stratergy works all time for them, and consumer think it will enhace the lifestyle. For examples, many ad campaigns compares their brand value and beneficial aspects with other ones like, 50% off in summer on blankets, in the beverages less amount of sugar and more caffine.
Conversly, many argue that the effectiveness of commercial ads has been reduced in large numbers due to saturation. In today's world mostly people are constantly surronded by marketing messages - on television, online platforms and even in the public places. This over-advertisement leads the ignorance and avoidance among individuals towards it. For example, on Youtube and Facebook platforms there is option to block ads and the real thing is the, these platforms are chargimg for it and consumer is paying
In conclusion, while endorsements are relating with the emotions of buyer and consumer it will contiuously sustain that impotance among society. Overexposure and unrealistic claims made the user less interested and actived, while watching ads on informational purpose.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that advertising is extremely successful and that it is too common to be noticed—while also including a personal opinion, which is integrated into the conclusion. The ideas are relevant, such as emotional connection through celebrity endorsements and consumer fatigue due to market saturation. However, some arguments are slightly under-developed or general, such as the example regarding YouTube and Facebook charging to block ads. The position is generally clear, though the introduction is somewhat weak and contains phrasing issues. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, fitting the criteria for Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement and attempts a logical progression of ideas with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing each view, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct concepts. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty and mechanical. For instance, transitional phrases and referencing are occasionally awkward, such as 'This phenomenon discussed in the further paragrphs' and 'the real thing is the, these platforms are chargimg for it'. Furthermore, the link between sentences within paragraphs can feel disjointed due to grammatical errors. This places the response comfortably at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task and demonstrates an attempt to use less common items such as 'saturation', 'over-advertisement', and 'endorsements'. However, there are notable word-choice errors, unnatural collocations, and spelling mistakes throughout the text. Examples include 'advertisng', 'stratergy', 'actived', and 'informational purpose' instead of 'informative purposes'. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling errors occasionally detract from the reading experience, though they do not completely impede communication. These characteristics align with a Band 5.5 or 6.0; given the sufficient range attempted, a Band 6.0 is appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in structure. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in articles, prepositions, verb forms, and subject-verb agreement. Examples of errors include 'the advertising is entirely convincing society and their choices', 'Other belive that the nowdays publicity is become usual', and 'consumer think it will enhace the lifestyle'. Punctuation and word order issues are also present, such as 'for examples, many ad campaigns compares'. Because these errors occur frequently and sometimes cause the reader to pause, the grammatical control sits at a Band 5.0.
