Nowadays, advertising has become a mayor part of modern life. some individuals consider that advertising is extremely effective in persuading to buy new things. while, others believe that advertising is so common way so no one can notice them. This essay will discuss the both the views in next two paragraphs along with logical conclusions.

To commence with, some people can say that advertising can strongly influence people purchasing decision because nowadays ~~everyone~~ every person follow famous celebrities, actors, and creators, so sometimes they post a promotional videos so many people influenced by them starting purchasing things. Moreover, there are various online shopping platforms people can use and during the festival season they give a huge discounts on things due to this people can extremely effective and start buy new things without any needs, For example, a research in Newyork city revealed that advertising is extremely effective in persuading to by things. As a result, advertising can encourage people to buy products that they may not have any need.

On the other hand, there are multifarious reasons that people say argue advertising can, it is common that no one can pay attention because advertisements are now everywhere, so many people less interested in them, individuals see advertisement on social media, television, websites, mobile application or even, public transport. Because of this people ignore it they think it is wastage of money and time. For instance, a survey was conducted by government of India revealed that ladvertisement is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. Therefore, advertisements alone may not be enough to convince modern consumers.

In conclusion, although, advertising can persuade people to purchase products through attractive and memorable marketing technique, while its widespread presence has also caused many consumer to ignore it. In my perspective, advertisting greatly impresion on people to buy things but people only buy them they things that are needed otherwise it is wastage of time and money.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on advertising—its effectiveness in persuasion and its widespread nature leading to consumer indifference—and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. Ideas are extended with examples, such as mentioning celebrity endorsements and online shopping platforms, as well as a survey conducted in New York City. However, some of the supporting points feel slightly generic or under-developed, and the arguments drift into minor generalisations regarding consumer behaviour. Despite these minor limitations, the main prompt requirements are fully met, and a clear, consistent stance is maintained throughout the essay. This aligns closely with the Band 6.5 to 7.0 descriptors, comfortably earning a Band 6.0 for addressing all parts of the task adequately with relevant ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, utilizing an introduction, two body paragraphs discussing opposing views, and a concluding paragraph. Cohesive devices are used to signal progression, such as 'To commence with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical, as seen in awkward transitional phrases like 'while, others believe' and 'while its widespread presence'. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but internal cohesion within sentences occasionally breaks down due to punctuation errors and run-on structures. Overall, the organizational framework is logical enough to guide the reader through the arguments without severe confusion, placing the response solidly at Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'multifarious', 'promotional', and 'widespread presence'. However, there are noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors throughout the essay, including 'mayor' instead of 'major', 'purchasing decision' lacking pluralisation, 'by things' instead of 'buy things', 'Newyork', and 'ladvertisement'. Words are sometimes used inaccurately in terms of grammatical form or collocation, such as 'advertising greatly impresion on people'. While these lexical shortcomings and mechanical errors are present, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the core meaning, and communication is only occasionally impeded, which is characteristic of a Band 5.5 performance.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in structure. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in punctuation, subject-verb agreement, articles, and clause structures. Examples include fragments and run-on sentences such as 'while, others believe that advertising is so common way so no one can notice them' and 'people can extremely effective and start buy new things without any needs'. Preposition and tense usage are also inconsistent ('starting purchasing things', 'they things that are needed'). These frequent errors and awkward phrasing cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the grammar score from reaching a higher band. The control over complex sentence forms remains limited, meriting a Band 5.0.
