Student answer (Band 5.0)
In today'srapidly changing world, this issue has become a matter of considerable debate. Some people believe that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. While on the other hand ,some argue that advertising is so common rhat we no longer pay attention to it.
First of all, there are several reasons for this. Nowadays, social media played an significant role in publicity. Some people placed different types of startagies such as 'buy one get one free' offers to promote their bussines. Furthermore, most of public attracts with these types of offers. Moreover, some indiviuals pays money to famous social media influencers for publicity. Those influencers make a special content according to the product. In result, public purchase those things and the owner of that product obtain huge profit.
However, there are also many causes for the advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. At first, some people placed some ads on social media platform for promoting bussines their aim was only persuading public to buy things. In contrast, people get boring to see same ads on daily basis. Whenever, they opened an app a same ad showed on the screen and they just skip them immidiatley. They were getting bored day by day.
In conclusion,my opinion is that this issue has both positive and negative aspects;however,i believe that the most effective approach is to consider the long term benefits for individuals and society. There are many arguments on both sides but i think advertising is very beneficial for good products.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on advertising—its effectiveness in persuading buyers and its saturation leading to indifference—while also stating a personal opinion. However, the word count is 248 words, falling just two words short of the mandatory 250-word minimum requirement. This incurs a necessary penalty on Task Achievement. Furthermore, some ideas, such as the concluding remark about society, are somewhat generic and under-developed. Phrases like 'most of public attracts with these types of offers' show a lack of precise task extension. Therefore, the response aligns best with a Band 5.5 descriptor.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion, showing an overall structure. However, paragraphing is sometimes basic and mechanical. Cohesive devices are repetitive or inappropriately used, such as starting consecutive sentences with 'Furthermore, most of public attracts...' and 'Moreover, some indiviuals pays money...'. Referencing is also weak at times, as seen in phrases like 'For this' without a clear antecedent. Progression within paragraphs is hampered by repetitive structural patterns and a lack of smooth transitions between contrasting points, placing the response firmly at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and contains numerous spelling and word-formation errors. Examples include 'startagies' instead of strategies, 'bussines' instead of business, 'indiviuals' instead of individuals, and 'immidiatley' instead of immediately. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'publicity' and 'influencers', but the range remains restricted. Inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'public attracts with these offers' and 'get boring', impede the flow of communication and cause occasional difficulty for the reader, which reflects the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and prone to frequent grammatical errors. There is a frequent lack of subject-verb agreement, such as 'social media played an significant role' and 'some indiviuals pays money'. Punctuation and spacing errors are also prevalent throughout the text, including missing spaces after commas and periods. Attempts at complex sentences are often faulty, as seen in 'there are also many causes for the advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it.' Frequent errors cause strain, aligning with Band 5.0.
